Up for auction are 5 pounds of all natural fruit soap. Ordering soap in bulk saves on shipping as it goes by the size of the box and the weight to include destination. So, a flat rate box for 9.80 plus about a dollar for the soap packaging is best for this product. The fruit is organic and comes from my garden. The oils in the soap are high quality oils and contain large amounts of Olive oil, coconut oil for a rich lather, palm oil, palm kernal oil, pure vegetable oil, and I have a Shea line of soaps as well that contain shea butter and sometimes cocoa butter. All natural soap with high quality oils is more expensive to make than the soap found in the stores. Those soaps in the stores contain lots of preservatives and chemicals that allow the soap to cure faster for mass production. Hand made soap takes at least two months to cure for all the lye to disapate to ensure extra gentleness to the skin. The benefit of soaps made with natural fruits, vegetables, and herbs is that if it is good for your diet than it is good for your skin because our bodies absorb what is put on the surface of our skin.I make soap for my family due to the kids and I having sensitive skin. I use to get prescription soap for my children when they were babies because that is what the doctors told me was best. Then it occurred to me that it was the chemicals and artificial dye in the soaps that was causing my children to break out. I then remembered that my mom and my grandparents made soap. Sometimes the soap they made was very strong. That is because they used a hot method outside that could not measure the amount of lye making the soap more stringent. I use a cold process that allows for accuracy in using the lye for the process to change the fats in glycerine which is a oil that has been denatured or sapponified. All soap is made with lye but the longer it cures, the lye leaves the soap bar when it has changed the oil to soap.My soaps are made the old fashioned way. They are usually poured into lined kitchen droors and cut with a knife. I have used stainless steel pans on occasion like the ones seen in the picture above. The soaps come out looking beautifully and natural.I have many types of soap. Just email me with your specifications.
